Careshia Esperanza
Her work ranges from illustration to painting and sculptures. A sense of humour and playfulness is what she aims for. We should be able to play while making art.
I thrive on mixing things up, working with everything from acrylics and oil sticks to kokis and ink. Her work brings together human forms, often a bit disjointed and warped, with an eclectic cast of creatures and monsters. Each piece is a little adventure—fun, weird, and titillating, with unexpected twists and a sense of playfulness. She aims to create art that catches you off guard, makes you look twice, and lets you dive into a world where anything (and anyone) can take shape.
